Permit to Use a Heavy / Long Vehicle in or on a Public Place or Restricted Road - Central Goldfields Shire Council - Victoria

Description

You will require this permit if you intend to park, place or use a heavy / long vehicle on or over any council / public land, or on a road where the use of such a vehicle would otherwise be contrary to a sign governing the use of vehicles on that road. This permit covers all vehicles, whether registered or not.

A long vehicle is 7.5 metres or longer, including load or projection. A heavy vehicle is a vehicle weighing more than 4.5 tonnes (gross vehicle mass) whether laden or unladen. Vehicles can include mobile crane, travel tower, lift, tackle or similar on or above a road. This includes the encroachment on council land of the jib or stabilising legs of any hoisting devices.
