Plant Health Certificate - Victoria

Description

You will require this certificate if you intend to export, move or possess prescribed plant material and plant products. A Plant Health Certificate may be issued by an authorised inspector to facilitate the export of plants and plant materials. These are used to certify compliance with quarantine conditions specified by another State, before movement into that State.

Plant Health Certificates may also be issued for intrastate movement where quarantine conditions apply to specific areas within Victoria.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this certificate, you must give details:

  • of person to whom the prescribed plant material is being delivered
  • about the grower or packer and the consignor of the material
  • of the origin, type, quantity and designation of the materials
  • of the treatment, condition or testing of the prescribed material
  • of any other prescribed particulars
  • you must also pay the prescribed fee.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

The following are prescribed materials for plant and pest control:

  • plant or plant product of the genus Vitus
  • any equipment, soil or packaging that has had contact with plant or plant product of genus Vitus
  • root vegetables, bulbs, nursery plants or seedlings that have been grown in soil
  • any equipment, soil or packaging that has had contact with root vegetables, bulbs, nursery plants or seedlings that have been grown in soil
  • a host to an exotic pest or disease in relation to which a restricted area order is declared.
