Race Club Licence - Victoria

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to operate a horse or greyhound race club. A race club must be registered in accordance with either the rules of Racing Victoria, Harness Racing Victoria or Greyhound Racing Victoria.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • submit an application of the approved form
  • have a sound financial background
  • have a good reputation and be of good character
  • provide any documentation as required by the Agency.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will need to submit an annual club return, including audited accounts and updated details of office bearers. You will also need to seek approval from the Minister within 28 days of any alterations to your clubs constitution or rules.

The changes will not take effect until approved by the Minister. Special permission may be required to operate individual races.

Duration

The duration of this licence remains in force until cancelled or surrendered.
