Registration as a Bookmaker's Key Employee - Victoria

Description

You will require this registration if you are employed by a bookmaker to:

  • act in a managerial capacity
  • be involved in a decision-making capacity in the bookmaking business
  • act as a substitute for a registered bookmaker at an approved racecourse.

A bookmaker provides wagering services to the general public at race courses, sporting grounds or an approved off-course premise. They take bets or wagers on behalf of racing punters, and issue winnings.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • complete the approved application form
  • pay the prescribed application fee

  • your character, honesty and integrity
  • the reputation of your associates.

Your completed application must be supported by two passport sized colour photographs of yourself, a National Police Certificate, a Personal Credit File Certificate, identification and if you are licensed in another State or Territory, a clearance document from the registration body of that State or Territory.
