Registration as a Bookmaker's Key Employee - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration if you are employed by a bookmaker to:

  • act in a managerial capacity
  • be involved in a decision-making capacity in the bookmaking business
  • act as a substitute for a registered bookmaker at an approved racecourse.

A bookmaker provides wagering services to the general public at race courses, sporting grounds or an approved off-course premises. They take bets or wagers on behalf of racing punters, and issue winnings.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • be at least eighteen years old
  • consent to a national police check, finger and palm printing.

  • a Personal Credit File Certificate
  • identification
  • if you are licensed in another State or Territory, a clearance document from the registration body of that State or Territory.
