Registration as a Greyhound Attendant - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration to handle greyhounds for the purpose of either:

  • competing in a race or event conducted by any Greyhound Industry Racing Authorities
  • present and prepare greyhounds for racing and parading.

An attendant is authorised to own, catch and handle registered greyhounds. All applications are made through FastTrack and require the applicant to be a member of Greyhound Racing Victoria.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • be at least 14 years old
  • complete a Certificate I accreditation of the Racing Industry Training Package (Greyhounds) or other recognised qualification
  • complete and submit all the relevant forms
  • pay the required fees
  • comply with the Board's rules.

  • read through the assessment units and complete the assessment forms for becoming an attendant
  • complete an application form to become an attendant
  • complete a tax compliance form
  • submit all of the above forms along with your registration fee and passport photograph to the Agency.
