Registration as a Licensed Surveyor - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration to provide cadastral surveying services in Victoria. Cadastral surveying involves interpreting and advising on boundary locations, on the status of land ownership and on the rights, restrictions and interests in property, as well as the recording of such information for use on plans and maps.

Eligibility requirements

To become registered, you must:

  • successfully complete a university degree in surveying or geomatics or an equivalent qualification as approved by the Board
  • obtain practical training in cadastral surveying following graduation under the supervision of a Licensed Surveyor
  • pass examinations in cadastral surveying set by the Board.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

As a Licensed Surveyor, you are required to undertake Further Professional Education or Training (FPET) in cadastral surveying and professional skills training. You are required to gain a minimum of 15 FPET points in each 12 month FPET period.
