Registration / Notification of a Temporary or Mobile Food Premises - Moorabool Shire Council - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration or notification if you intend to operate a temporary or mobile food premises, including on a one-off basis.

Temporary and mobile food premises can include:

  • market or festival stalls, fetes, charity fundraisers, or a kitchen not owned or leased by you such as a sporting club canteen or a school tuckshop
  • vehicles, such as food vans, caravans, trucks or trailers.

There are three classes of temporary or mobile food premises:

  • class 2 and 3 (registration is required)
  • class 4 (notification is required)

Please note, you must lodge a statement of trade (SOT) to let all relevant councils know where and when you will be trading in their districts. Additional permits may be required, for example, a permit to conduct trading in a public place.
