Registration of Pharmacy Premises - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration to operate a licensed pharmacy business or pharmacy department. In addition to needing to be licensed, the physical premises from which the pharmacy business or department are run must be registered.

The registration will be granted if the Authority determines that you are eligible to operate a pharmacy business or department and the premises is suitable. This registration may be made at the same time as the pharmacy business or pharmacy department licence application.

Eligibility requirements

The registration of a pharmacy premises may be made at the same time as the pharmacy business or pharmacy department licence application. To be eligible for this registration, you must:

  • be eligible to carry on a pharmacy business or pharmacy department
  • have premises that are suitable for providing pharmacy services
  • ensure that your premises are compliant with applicable legislative requirements
  • apply in writing
  • provide all information required by the Authority
  • pay the prescribed fee.

Your application may be refused if you have previously been convicted of an offence under pharmacy legislation or another offence affecting your suitability, contravened an Authority standard.
