Registration of Pilotage Service Providers - Victoria

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to operate a pilotage service. A pilotage service means the service of providing a licensed marine pilot to navigate a vessel within, into or out of port waters.

A pilotage service also includes providing transport and transfer of the licensed marine pilot to and from a vessel for which navigation services are required.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

You will need to put in place the appropriate systems, procedures and policies to ensure that:

  • pilots are not impaired by fatigue, alcohol or drugs

Duration

Becomes valid once the applicant has a certificate of registration and remains in effect unless suspended or cancelled.
