Registration to Act as a Professional Boxing and Combat Sports Contestant - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration if you intend to compete in a professional boxing or combat sports competition in Victoria.

Boxing and combat sports include kickboxing or any sport or activity in which each contestant in a contest or exhibition is required to strike, kick, hit, grapple with, throw or punch the other contestant.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • be at least 18 years old
  • be a fit and proper person
  • possess an adequate level of skills required for a professional contest
  • provide a certificate of fitness for participation in professional contests signed by a medical practitioner and given within fourteen days before your application is submitted
  • provide a certificate to establish that the you are HIV / Hepatitis B and Hepatitis C negative.

If you hold an equivalent registration in another State or Territory and intend to compete in Victoria, your registration will be recognised under the mutual recognition system.
