Supervised Worker's Licence - Victoria

Description

You will require one of these licences if you intend to carry out any type electrical installation work and do not hold an Electrician's Licence. A Supervised Worker's Licence entitles the holder (in accordance with any further conditions on the licence) to carry out all electrical installation work in Victoria under the effective supervision of a licensed electrician.

If you intend to contract, or offer to contract, to carry out electrical installation work, you must also be registered as an electrical contractor.

As of 2010, Electrician (Supervised) Worker's Licences (ES Licence) and Occupiers Licences have been abolished. Individuals who currently hold either licence may still be eligible for renewal.

Eligibility requirements

You must meet all the prerequisites for each criteria described in detail on the Agency's website.

You will need to meet the standard of qualifications, proficiency and experience in electrical installation work or is at least of an equivalent standard to that described in detail on the Agency's website and submit all the relevant documentation.

Ongoing eligibility requirements

It is an ongoing requirement of this licence that you comply with any conditions or obligations issued by the Agency.

It is also your responsibility to certify that the electrical installation work is completed in accordance with the Australian New Zealand Wiring Rules and any other relevant standards, that testing is completed in accordance with the legislation, regulations and Wiring Rules, and that the relevant certificate of compliance within certificates of electrical safety is signed.
