Temporary Limited Liquor Licence - Victoria

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to supply alcohol at a one-off event or short series of events.

There are a number of event types that can be licensed: 

  • one-off events
  • temporary increase of trading hours or licensed venue area
  • theatre production or season
  • point-of-sale for sporting events
  • sell alcohol online, mail orders or gift hampers
  • liquor festival or event
  • all other events including seasonal events. 

If more than 5,000 people will attend the event, you may need a major event liquor licence.

Apply at least 8 weeks before your event.

Lodgement process

Apply

You no longer need to upload a council planning permit with your application. Instead, upload the LCV new licence or permit planning document when the application process asks for a planning permit. This is a temporary step while the Agency updates the application form. You can upload a planning permit instead, if you have one.
