Temporary Traffic Management Accreditation - Victoria

Description

You will need this accreditation if you intend to provide temporary traffic management on managed roads in Victoria. Temporary traffic management is a system of controlling traffic movement through or past a worksite or event.

There are two traffic management roles companies can apply for when working on managed roads:

  • traffic management design: responsible for designing, drafting, reviewing and / or making modifications to Traffic Management Plans (TMPs)
  • traffic management implementation: responsible for setting out, implementing and monitoring TMPs, and controlling traffic.

There are three temporary traffic management road categories to reflect the different levels of complexity and safety risks across the road network and make sure only those companies with suitable training, experience and a good safety record are accredited to manage traffic management activities.
