Trailers Designed for Use in Road Trains - Victoria

Description

You will be required to comply with this Australian Design Rule if you intend to manufacture a particular heavy combination vehicle. This rule applies to electrical wiring, connections and installations in certain road trains that are longer than nineteen metres. The road trains are:

  • semi-trailers
  • dog trailers
  • converter dollies.
This rule applies whether or not they were built before the day stated in the ADR for vehicles of that type. Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
