Code of Practice for the Storage and Handling of Dangerous Goods - Victoria

Description

This code of practice provides practical guidance to manufacturers, suppliers and sellers of dangerous goods on their handling and storage. Dangerous goods are substances that may be corrosive, flammable, explosive, spontaneously combustible, toxic, oxidising, or water-reactive.

Compliance with this code of practice is not mandatory. However, in legal proceedings, failure to observe the code can be used as evidence that you did not comply with the regulations. If you have not complied with the code, it will be up to you to show that you have met the relevant legal requirement by an alternative method.

Please consult the responsible agency for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance (if any) that may be required.
