Registration as an Architect - Victoria

Description

You will require this registration if you intend to represent yourself as an architect. Architects provide building design or architectural services that could lead to the design of buildings or parts of buildings. Only registered architects are legally permitted to use the title 'architect', and the terms 'architectural design', 'architectural services' or 'architectural design services' in relation to their work. This does not apply to the use of the terms 'landscape architect', 'naval architect' or 'computer systems architect'.

There are two categories of registration:

  • practising
  • non-practising.

Only practising architects are authorised to advertise that they can provide architectural services that lead directly to the design of buildings or parts of buildings.
