Registration of a Disability Service Provider - Victoria


You may require this registration if you intend to operate a disability service.

A disability service provides for the support of those who are disabled in some capacity. Disability includes both intellectual and physical disabilities.

While registration is not compulsory, a service provider that holds a service agreement with the Department will usually be required to apply for registration as a condition of funding.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for this registration you must:

  • be capable of providing a service to people with disabilities
  • be able to comply with legislative requirements applying to service providers, including mandatory program guidelines, standards, monitoring and accountability conditions
  • submit an application form
  • pay any required fees.

Ongoing Eligibility Requirements

Disability Service Providers must advise the Department of any changes to the details kept on the register within 14 days of a change occurring.
