Registration of Cooling Tower Systems - Victoria

Description

You will need this registration if you own a property that has an operating cooling tower system.

A cooling tower system is defined as:

  • a cooling tower, or a number of interconnected cooling towers that use the same re-circulating water
  • any machinery that is used to operate the tower or towers
  • any associated tanks, pipes, valves, pumps or controls.

Registration is required to ensure high maintenance standards and to minimise the incidence of water based bacteria such as legionella.

Please note, if there are multiple cooling tower systems on your property, you may submit one application covering all of the cooling tower systems.
