Abrolhos Islands Activity Approval - Western Australia

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to undertake certain activities on the Abrolhos Islands. The Abrolhos Islands are an archipelago of 122 islands off the mid-west coast of Western Australia. They are an environmental reserve, but also part of the commercial rock lobster fishery and many commercial rock lobster fishers have camps on the islands.

You will need approval for the following activities:

  • constructing or modifying a jetty
  • relocating your operations between rock lobster camps
  • constructing new buildings
  • modifying existing buildings
  • installing generators
  • using a vehicle.
