You will require this accreditation if you have developed a training course and you want it to be formally recognised as a Vocational Education and Training (VET) course. Once a course has been accredited, it is entered onto the national register. Any Registered Training Organisation (RTO) delivering the course can then issue nationally recognised qualifications or statements of attainment for full or partial completion of the course. As the copyright holder of the course, it will be your responsibility to update and evaluate the course following its accreditation.
Please note that this accreditation does not give you permission to deliver a course. That requires a separate licence.
Please also note that if you are not a RTO, you must instead apply to the appropriate Australian Government agency for accreditation of a course.
Please consult the Contact Officer for more information.
