Description

You will need this registration if you intend to practise as a veterinary nurse. Veterinary nurses:

provide certain veterinary services under supervision, including dental work or superficial surgical procedures
examine and provide basic care without supervision, including dressing wounds and providing post surgical care.

A licence defines the need to obtain recognition / certification and registration to undertake a certain business activity.

To be eligible, you must:

have sufficient physical and mental capacity
be sufficiently proficient in the English language, both written and oral
be a fit and proper person
have successfully completed a Certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing, or any other recognised qualification
meet the prescribed requirements (if any).
