Approval to Conduct a Survey - Western Australia

Description

You will need this approval if you intend to survey land for petroleum or geothermal energy resources. A survey is a geochemical, geological or geophysical survey of submerged land, the data from which is intended for use in the exploration, discovery or recovery of petroleum or geothermal energy.

Petroleum is any naturally occurring hydrocarbon or mixture of hydrocarbons, including oil and gas. Geothermal energy resources are any subsurface rock or other substance that contains geothermal energy. Geothermal energy is thermal energy that results from natural geological processes and is contained in geothermal energy resources.
