Approval to Erect a Stable - Western Australia


You will require this approval if you intend to construct or erect a stable for the keeping of a horse, cow or other large animal, such as a pig, sheep or goat. A stable is any building where these animals are kept, cared for and fed.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this approval, you must satisfy the Council on all aspects of the stable, including:

  • distance of the stable from residential dwellings
  • construction methods
  • drainage methods
  • mechanisms employed for the prevention of odours and breeding of flies.
