You will need this approval if you intend to do anything that will interfere with the infrastructure of a water service licensee. This includes:
- uncover the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- open, shut, damage or otherwise interfere with the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- interfere with the operation of the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- attach a fitting, pipe or other thing to the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- repair, replace or remove a fitting or pipe that is part of the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- place anything in the water service infrastructure of a licensee
- discharge water, wastewater or any other liquid into, or allow any other thing to enter, the water service infrastructure of a licensee.
The relevant water services licensee may be the WA Water Corporation, your local council or a private corporation.
