Description

You may need this approval if you intend to keep poultry, pigeons or other birds on your property. Poultry includes fowls, peafowls, turkeys, geese and ducks.

Whether this approval is required may vary according to the zoning of your property. Approval is often required in land zoned as residential. Your council may also prohibit the keeping of certain kinds of birds in certain areas. Limitations may also apply to the number of birds that you are allowed to keep on your property.

  • Any other requirements under planning laws.
