Architect Corporation Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will need this licence if you intend to operate a corporation that offers architectural services under the title of architect.

You will be responsible for ensuring all architectural work is done under the direct control and supervision of at least one registered architect, and that at least one registered architect has ultimate responsibility for the architectural work of the corporation.

The Board recommends that you clearly display your licence certificates and publish licence numbers on all correspondence and advertising.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence you must:

  • satisfy the Board that you have acceptable rules governing your corporation's internal management
  • have directors who are acceptable to the Board
  • have in place a system that ensures architectural work is conducted under direct control and supervision of at least one registered architect
  • you have at least one responsible architect that is a director / employee of the corporation or be currently registered with the Board
  • have an insurance policy scheme in effect.

Your corporation must make sure all employed architects are registered.
