This code provides guidelines for the protection of persons and property from the hazards of lightning. It applies to conventional lightning protection systems consisting of air terminations, downconductors, earthing systems and surge protective devices. Further, the code provides a comprehensive risk management process for the determination of the risk of damage due to lightning for a range of structures.
