AS / NZS 5601 Gas Installations - Western Australia


You may need to comply with this standard if you intend to carry out gasfitting work on consumer gas installations. Gas installations include any appliance, pipes, fittings or other apparatus installed or to be installed for or for purposes incidental to the conveyance, control, supply or use of gas.

This standard specifies requirements and means of compliance for the design, installation and commissioning of gas installations that are associated with use or intended use of fuel gases, such as natural gas, LP Gas, biogas or manufactured gas, and in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes. This standard comprises:

  • AS / NZS 5601.1:2013 Gas installations - General installations
  • AS / NZS 5601.2:2020 Gas installations - LP gas installations in caravans and boats for non-propulsive purposes
