Description

You will need to comply with this rule if you own a special purpose vehicle. A special purpose vehicle is a motor vehicle, other than a tow truck or an agricultural vehicle, built for a purpose other than carrying a load, except for water in the case of concrete pumps and fire trucks.

The rear marker plates on your special purpose vehicle must comply with the requirements of this standard. The standard specifies requirements for the number and mode of installation of lighting and light-signalling devices on motor vehicles other than L-group vehicles.
