Australian Design Rule ADR 59/00 - Standards for Omnibus Rollover Strength - Western Australia

Description

You may be required to comply with this standard if you are involved in the design or manufacture of buses which have 2 or 3 axles and a single steer axle. For a bus equipped with an approved air suspension system to be declared a complying bus it must meet the rollover strength specifications in this standard.

The function of this vehicle standard is to ensure that omnibus superstructures withstand forces encountered in rollover crashes so as to maintain a residual space during and after a rollover crash. Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
