Australian New Zealand Standard AS / NZS 3012:2003 Electrical Installations - Construction and Demolition Sites - Western Australia

You will need to comply with this standard if you intend to undertake any work on electrical installations on construction and demolition sites. Construction and demolition sites include any building work, excavation work, compressed air work, diving work, dredging, land clearing and earth moving work.

You must ensure that any electrical installation work on your construction or demolition site complies with the requirements in this standard.

This standard sets out minimum requirements for the design, construction and testing of electrical installations which supply electricity to appliances and equipment on construction and demolition sites, and for the in-service testing of portable, relocatable and fixed electrical equipment used on construction and demolition sites. These minimum requirements are intended to protect people, livestock and property from electric shock, fire and physical injury hazards that may arise from an electrical installation.

Please consult the Contact Officer for more information and to ascertain the level of compliance that may be required.
