Australian Standard AS 1940:2017 The Storage and Handling of Flammable and Combustible Liquids - Western Australia


You will need to comply with this standard if you are the manager of an underground mine, and you intend to operate automotive diesel fuel service and storage facility underground in the mine.

This standard provides requirements for the planning, design, construction, and safe operation of all installations in which flammable or combustible liquids are stored or handled. In separate sections it deals with minor storage, package storage and handling, storage in tanks, fuel dispensing, piping and tank auxiliaries, operations and fire protection facilities.
