Description

You will be required to comply with this standard if there is a risk of fire at your workplace and you are an employer, main contractor, self-employed, or otherwise in control of your workplace. You must ensure that portable fire extinguishers are located and distributed in accordance with this standard.

This standard sets out criteria for the selection of portable fire extinguishers and fire blankets and specifies requirements for their application, location and distribution.
