You may need to comply with this standard if you intend to carry out gasfitting work on consumer gas installations. Gas installations include any appliance, pipes, fittings or other apparatus installed or to be installed for or for purposes incidental to the conveyance, control, supply or use of gas.
This standard sets out the minimum requirements for the design, construction and safe operation of Type B appliances that use any gas, or gases as a gaseous fuel in any combination or with other fuels to produce flame, heat, light, power or special atmosphere.
