Bioprospecting Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to take fauna or flora for a bioprospecting activity. Bioprospecting is an activity involving or related to the taking of fauna or flora for the purposes of identifying, extracting or recovering biological resources.

Fauna means any animal native to Australia, and any animal that periodically migrates to and lives in Australia and includes any animal declared to be fauna by the Agency. All flora that is native to Western Australia is protected throughout the State. Protected flora is defined as any plant (including any wild flower, palm, shrub tree, fern, creeper or vine) or any part of a plant, including seeds and spores.

Please note that this licence will not authorise you to take flora on private land.

There may be a required profit sharing agreement.
