Description

You are required to comply with the Code if you intend to undertake building work or work in the building industry in Western Australia. The Code covers the technical details and minimum standards of design and construction of buildings and other structures in relation to:

  • structure
  • fire resistance
  • access and exits
  • services and equipment
  • energy efficiency
  • health and amenities.

It covers standards for builders with and without a builder's permit. Please note that the Code is reviewed and amended each year.
