Buyer's Identification Code (Livestock) - Western Australia

Description

You will need a Buyer's Identification Code (BIC) if you intend to purchase livestock but do not know the immediate destination for the stock (e.g. as an agent, export buyer, abattoir buyer).

Please note that if you are purchasing stock using a BIC, you will need to notify the National Livestock Identification System (NLIS) database within 24 hours of the purchase.
