Casino Liquor Licence - Western Australia


You will require this licence if you intend to sell liquor for consumption at a casino or any other venue enclosed in a casino complex. A casino is an area where games are conducted and played and where money counting, surveillance, storage and other activities related to the conduct and playing of games are carried on.

You require a licence to operate a casino, which must be applied for separately. Please note that in Western Australia, Burswood Casino is the exclusive holder of this licence and currently the only licensed premises operating under a casino liquor licence.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for the licence you must do each of the following:

  • demonstrate that the premises sought to be licensed are an approved casino
  • be a fit and proper person
  • supply details pertaining to the suitability, nature and standard of the premises
  • satisfy the agency that the approval is in the public interest
  • demonstrate that the quiet and good order of the locality would not be lessened
  • complete the required forms
  • pay the prescribed fee.
