Cat Registration - Shire of Cuballing - Western Australia

Description

You will need to register your cat with your council if it has reached six months of age. All cats must be sterilised and microchipped. This registration may also apply to cat breeders or pet shop owners.

If you move to another local government area, you may notify both your former council and your new council to continue the period of your registration.

A cat that is under the custody of the Cat Welfare Society, RSPCA, a cat management facility or a veterinary clinic or hospital is exempt from registration.

To be eligible for registration, you must:

  • be over 18 years old
  • ensure that your cat is microchipped and sterilised.

You will be ineligible for registration if you have been convicted of two or more offences under animal legislation in the past three years.
