You will need to comply with this code if you intend to provide health care and you:

  • are not required to be a registered health practitioner
  • are a registered health practitioner that provides health services unrelated to your registration.

The code outlines a range of minimum standards for health care work and outlines the additional powers given to the agency if a relevant health care worker is found to have breached the code.
