Description

You will need to comply with this code of practice if you intend to carry out work involving abrasive blasting or use abrasive blasting products. Abrasive blasting involves using a stream of abrasive material, propelled at high speed to clean, abrade, etch or change the original appearance or condition of the surface, and includes high pressure air, liquid and steam blasting incorporating abrasive material.

The code sets out practical ways that you can identify risks involved with abrasive blasting and implement safety procedures to reduce risk to the health of your employees and meet your occupational health and safety obligations.
