Code of Practice for the Safe Design of Buildings and Structures - Western Australia


You will be required to comply with this code if you intend to undertake any activities relating to the design of buildings or other structures.

This code aims to:

  • explain the legal obligations applicable to a person who is in control of, or who may have influence over, the design of a building or structure
  • provide guidelines for ways in which these obligations can be met by providing practical guidance on ways of maximising the safety of the design.
