Code of Practice - Mobile Processing Units - Western Australia

You may need to comply with this code if you intend to design and operate mobile processing units (MPU's). For the purposes of the code, an MPU means a vehicle-mounted processing which carries raw materials required to manufacture a class 1 explosive.

This code sets out the requirements for the design and operational management of mobile processing units used in the manufacture and blast-hole delivery of explosives used in surface and underground blasting, as well as other operations, including field packaging. The code applies to the operational transport, manufacture and delivery of products using MPUs on public and private property within Australia.
