You will need this licence if you intend to take and supply protected flora to another person. All flora that is native to Western Australia is protected throughout the State. Protected flora is defined as any plant (including any wildflower, palm, shrub, tree, fern, creeper or vine) or any part of a plant, including seeds and spores. For this licence, flora does not include specifically controlled sandalwood.
Your licence will specify the private land from which you are authorised to take flora, and the class of flora you are authorised to take. Your licence only covers the properties that are listed on the licence. If you intend to sell flora taken from other properties not listed on your licence, you must apply for an additional licence.
