Consent to Operate a Pipeline - Western Australia


You will need the consent of the agency if you intend to operate an offshore petroleum pipeline. A petroleum pipeline is a pipe or system of pipes used to convey petroleum and includes any storage tanks or ancillary works associated with the pipeline.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this consent you will need to have your pipeline management plan accepted by the agency.

Additionally, you and the agency must have agreed on:

  • the matters concerning the operation of the pipeline in your pipeline management plan
  • the scope of the validation undertaken by an independent person of your proposal to operate the pipeline.
