You will need this licence to act as a crowd control agent. A crowd control agent is a person who advertises or supplies the services of crowd controllers. A crowd controller is sometimes known as a bouncer or doormen. Crowd controllers are someone who, as part of their regular duties in any licensed premises, place of entertainment or public or private event or function:
- controls or monitors the behaviour of people
- screens people seeking entry
- removes people for behavioural reasons.
This licence only covers the advertisement and supply of crowd controllers. You will need a separate licence to work as a crowd controller. You will need to be licensed as a crowd control agent and a crowd controller to carry out work as a sole trader.
You may apply for a temporary licence of up to one year if you are an interstate visitor and hold an equivalent licence in your home state or territory.
