Diving Project Plan Acceptance - Western Australia

Description

You will need your diving project plan accepted by the agency if you are a diving contractor and intend to undertake a diving project without an operator. An operator is:

  • a petroleum pipeline licence holder, in relation to pipelines
  • a registered offshore petroleum facility operator, in relation to all other facilities.

Diving contractors conduct diving projects for their clients, which comprise diving operations in which hazard, risk and health place safety matters are identified. Diving operations are a type of offshore petroleum operations that comprise one or more dives relating to the exploration, recovery, processing, storage, offloading or piped conveyance of petroleum.
