Electricity Industry (Customer Transfer) Code 2016 - Western Australia

Description

You may need to comply with this code if you hold a retail licence to sell electricity.

This code sets out rules for the provision of information relating to contestable customers and the process for transferring contestable customers from one retailer to another retailer. This code covers:

  • information provision
  • transfer of contestable customers
  • communication rules.

If one of your customers is transferring to another retailer, in most cases you must not terminate their contract until the transfer is complete.
