The potentially hazardous nature of mining operations, and their often remote locations, mean that being prepared for an emergency situation is critical to the safety and health of personnel. This code will assist those involved with emergency management in WA to meeting their legislative obligations for occupational safety and health. It is designed to provide guidance on:
- emergency management systems used in surface and underground mines and quarrier
- developing and evaluating safe work procedures for such systems
