Fauna Dealing (Pet Dealer's) Licence - Western Australia

Description

You will require this licence if you intend to deal in avian, reptilian and amphibian fauna. This licence will authorise you to buy, sell or otherwise deal in certain species of fauna from a nominated address.

Fauna means any animal native to Australia, and any animal that periodically migrates to and lives in Australia and includes any animal declared to be fauna by the Agency.

Eligibility requirements

To be eligible for this licence, you must:

  • provide details of any relevant convictions relating to wildlife
  • be able to identify all the species of fauna specified in your application
  • detail the location of the premises and the adequacy of facilities
  • show that the keeping of and dealing in fauna at the location nominated is authorised by your relevant local council
  • demonstrate personal experience and ability in keeping and dealing in avian fauna
  • complete the required forms
  • pay the prescribed fee
  • comply with any additional provisions outlined by the Agency.
